My Fragments of Val'anyr

At this point I have just under 300 days played on my /played listing of my priest alone and have lead a guild for almost the entire amount of it. During this time I have seen and done so much of this game, and had the opportunity to play with a lot of the best that Khadgar has to offer in both terms of skill and companionship. As a guild leader, I feel that there is a certain level of sacrifice that you expect to make when you take on the role, similar to the sacrifices everyone makes for anything they are passionate about. One of my personal sacrifices has always been in the form of our loot distribution.
It isn't that I do without by any means, my gear is some of the best on the server and more then adequate for my needs to perform. However, I have always felt that it is in my best interest to ensure that those around me are never in a situation where they feel that I am putting my desires before theirs. In the 300 days of this characters played time I have never received a full set bonus on raid gear and I have not been the first on an aesthetic/mount drop (or anywhere close for that matter). These aren't complaints, and I have always been extremely pleased with my personal progression in this game. I am only putting into perspective the way in which I have always given my guild a pathway to receive these pieces ahead of myself when they are deserving (which is the majority).
Last night I received, not one, but three of the Fragments of Val'anyr. I am not positive of the drop rate of these pieces, but I am extremely excited to have the opportunity to be one of the first, if not the first, on Khadgar that will make the mace. This is not due to my abilities alone, but the skilled play of my fellow guild members who make these bosses possible and give me the opportunity to use such an item.
My appreciation goes to all of you who have given me this chance through your hard work and sacrifice. I know you stay up late, and go to work or school the next day tired, and skip meals and plans with families sometimes. Thank you for making Sauce what it is.
Shard Count: Complete!
Throughout the almost 4 years I've been playing with you, you've been one of the most self-less people I've ever had the opportunity to play with. You put everyone before you and that's an admirable quality. Glad that you're able to finally get something for all your efforts to make this guild successful. That being said, also the other 2 that were considered for this were great candidates as well. If the drop doesn't change, we may see a couple of these in our future anyway.

mine.
O_O
But you claim everything =[
In your defense, I can see where you're coming from.
I don't know who the other candidates were for the Shards. But I'm sure they deserved it as well, that being said I mean no offense by you while I state what I'm about to.
I've also played with Muzzum for the majority of time I've been on this game. Through 3 and a half years at least. I've been around for all of our legendary situations.
Back in Original we had a couple people who wanted Thunderfury, it came around the time that we needed to start making decisions as to who would get it, and it didn't go so hot. With 40 people in the raid, and a lot of them being Rogues and Warriors, the candidates were numerous. As far as I remember, we did have at least one Gquit over it, and there were constant battles over who deserved it the most.
As far as the Hand of Ragnaros went, no one really wanted it, however we did have one member steal a piece from the guild bank.
I'm sure a lot of you remember the situation with the Glaives. We had one gquit/transfer, and had another who just stopped caring and stopped showing up until he was one of the few people I've ever seen kicked from the guilds Muzz has lead.
Legendaries never really tend to bring out the best in people, but I think the most of us can agree that Muzz really deserves it. Even if you haven't been with him for long, you can trust me when I say he's been a fantastic leader and has been put through a lot of bullshit by some of his members. I think I can faithfully say I'm one of those assholes xD.
It really makes me glad to see him get something that I've felt he's deserved for a long time, as a passionate caring leader and just generally one of the nicest, truthful, caring, and giving people I have ever met in my life. I'm definitely proud to call him a friend and hope we get to spend much more time in GA.
Here's to a hopeful server first! *cheers*
