When things dont go as you plan
Well since I have a little time I thought I would write a little bit over nothing. So last few weeks at work we where checking and see how the economy has effect us. As some of you know I am in HVAC. The boss announced that we had a record year last year, as a matter of fact the best it has ever had, but that it could go away in a blink of the eye. This fact came to realization on how fragile life and business yesterday morning.
I was in my routine like many of the other guys. We had 7 units to change on the roof and we jumped out ready to go. At about 9 am I remember getting the ladder off my work van and setting it up. We started packing our tools and the stuff we needed to the roof top to get stuff done before the crane arrived.
A buddy of mine had to carry to bottle of nitrogen up and I began following him as soon as he got to the top. Sadly that's all I remember. When I came to at about 2 pm to my shock in the local ER, and my head felt like it was worked over with a 2x4. I was told, by the owner of the company that a bottle of nitrogen fell off the roof landing on my head, sadly the bottle didn't survive.
Not 1 minute a guy came into the room I was in and started asking questions.... Ok I'm laying there head hurting the owner telling me what happened and the Doctors and nurses there asking me question, poking and prodding me, checking my eye and I'm trying to catch a second to get a grasp to where I'm at. The guy was from the insurance company, I came to find out later. So the insurance guy was more worried about who dropped the bottle than if I was ok. Finally after telling him all I recalled was setting up a ladder and waking up not 2 minutes ago. He gets mouthy and tells me I remember more than that. Needless to say I clicked into cop mode and started getting a piece of his ass.
The poor doctor had to push the guy out of the treatment room and escorted out of the ER. Now you know thing are messed up when the insurance guy can come into the treatment room while your wife is made to wait in the waiting room and didn't know you were had awaken.
But reflecting on this.... Life is to short to worry about the little things like what I want in my coffee, when my life could have been over if the bottle hit 2 inches further forward. the night to help my wife with chores. Please everyone, live each day to the fullest and let your loved ones know how much they are cherished.

Damn man, that's just insane. You're exactly right, don't take anything for granted. I'm glad you're able to even make this post as is and i'm pulling for you. Hope everything gets sorted out and you make a full recovery.

So many of us take for granted we are going to wake up in the mornings and live a uneventful life. The snap of a finger can change all that and not for the better as shivars has experienced first hand. Im so very glad God didnt take him on this day the world wouldnt be the same without people like him in it. Not often do you run across a genuine kind person in life much less playing this nutty game we all love to play. I feel honored to call Shivars a friend.
love ya muches
Everybody's heard about the Bird...Bird, Bird, Bird, Bird is the word!
I'm so sorry that happened to you. I hope you are okay.
I would not kill the Jews..no..I'd throw a penny in between them and watch them fight to the death. I would do the same thing with the priests except throw a boy in the middle and the winner has to fight Michael Jackson.
I'm glad that you are ok.
That's just crazy. you know me and my friends had some discussions about the 6 seconds that will changes your life.
It takes pretty much 6 seconds to caused so much things to your life.
6 seconds ,it's all it takes for someone to drop from high up from a building if they decided to jump.
6 secs of car collisions, to caused someone so much pain to their life & their family.
so on and so fort.
I always takes everyday as it was my last, always make sure I let my love ones knows that I care about them, and I'd never let a second flies by without not leaving a good impression of someone or never missed a chance to makes sure someone feels special or try to make someone's day. Because I know that every little things that you do in life will effect someone's else and someone they knows.
I'm really glad that you are ok. Take care out there!

I think that should be - (Azn) Benjamin Franklin
Just kidding!
In your defense, I can see where you're coming from.
